No centralized database exists to characterize federal funds invested in the region, however, the district will work with tribes and communities to capture this data in coming years.

How is this metric determined?
The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community an Economic Development, Division of Community and Regional Affairs maintains the eGrants database and the Office of Management and Budget publishes the annual capital budget, sorted by House and Senate districts.

Why does this matter?
Partnership with state and federal funding partners is often necessary to make community development projects feasible.
