Employer Satisfaction with Entry-Level Workers

How’s the Prince William Sound Region performing?
A 2014 survey of regional employers found that many employers can’t find workers with the right skills despite high unemployment in the region. PWSEDD is conducting a more in-depth survey in 2015 to determine more about employer needs and expectations.

How is this metric determined?
The PWSEDD surveyed regional employers. This metric is based on employer responses to the frequency of having to recruit outside of the district.

Why does this matter?
Recruitment of talent from outside of the district coupled with high unemployment indicates some improvement can be made in aligning education, workforce training, and other postsecondary education to better meet the needs of employers.
